Stole my money Stole my money

Recently Cashapp removed $1575 from my personal bank account. The funds were never added to my Cashapp account balance but were sent directly from my bank to an individual (who denied receiving anything). My claim was denied by Customer Service arbitrarily. Their investigation concluded that "the transaction was initiated from a device under my control." I know this to not be true therefore I know there was no investigation conducted. I suspect that Cashapp has stolen from many more accounts than mine. I intend to file. I would like to know who else, how many, how often? I'm certain to not be the only victim.

Auto Cash Out is going away Auto Cash Out is going away

Auto Cash Out streamlined my incoming payments. It was the most valuable feature of Cash App. Look at this weak wording, attempting to make it sound like they're doing it for our own good.

Just come out and say it, Cash App. You just want us to forget the money is sitting in our accounts so you can collect interest. Now you don't stand out from all the other money apps.

What the hell is wrong with cashapp security? What the hell is wrong with cashapp security?

I haven't used cashapp in over a year. All of a sudden I get spammed with text codes from them and then they say my number was removed. I try to log in to my account and it says they can't verify it's me. I try calling them and it's "outside of business hours". I look it up online and it turns out there's huge numbers of people having this happen to them. Now I have to worry about my bank account being compromised because of this app.

If you sign up for Melio, your credit card could turn your business expenses into airline points to fund that Hawaii "business trip" this year. Just a thought.

Verification issue Verification issue

I tried verifying myself with photo ID on CashApp but it didn’t work because I used the wrong ID. That would be no issue because I could normally just retry, but for some reason it won’t let me. Every time I click photo ID it says “verification failed”, then I click the retry button and leads me to another verification failed screen where I click done and brings me right back to the first page. It won’t let me resubmit or try to verify my photo identity at all; the customer support has been no help. Does anyone know how to fix this issue?

Not Coming Back :) (Respectfully.) Not Coming Back :) (Respectfully.)

I was deployed and used my account one time while I was gone. About two months after I returned home my account was deactivated and I was told I violated terms of service. My card was locked for months and there was only one small transaction that happened when I first got back in the country. I’ve tried to appeal and I’d given all the information I could for said appeal. It was denied. I honestly think that it’s time I part ways with CashApp. I had another issue with the app before and it took months to get proper assistance. I just wanted to know what “I” had supposedly done on a lock card that would get the account deactivated.

Large amounts of money in a cashapp account? Large amounts of money in a cashapp account?

Hey just wanted to know what is everyone’s thoughts on having an account with a good amount of money. I’ve been utilizing the cashapp HYSA at 4% for awhile now and only use it for that as of current and redeem boosts and purchases here and there. Ive been reading a lot on cashapp closures and or hacked accounts. Is everyone just fear mongering or is this as common as it is spoken about. I’ve also heard of people on this community mentioning withholding of funds is it true, does anyone have personal experiences that can provide advice? Please and thank you.

Received a Cash App card unsolicited Received a Cash App card unsolicited

I received a Cash App card in the mail that I did not request. I called Cash App and they want me to send them copies of the card via email. This seems very suspicious - shouldn’t they already have this info if they sent it to me? Also, when I mentioned that I felt that I was being scammed, the woman on the phone was unpleasant and said that I should do whatever I wanted to do then.

Real question…What should I do? Has this happened to you?

Don't use cashapp taxes Don't use cashapp taxes

I filed for the first time with cash app taxes on Feb 2nd 2024,

I just got a letter in the mail yesterday that the return was marked as fraud

I thenk completes the online verify questions that marked os as fraud

To the point that my electronic refund is denied and now I have to file by mail

I have used turbotax and hr block in the past with no issues

Fuck cashapp taxes, through this process I reached out support multiple times and all they said was we do not offer any services reach out to a cpa

I am so fucking pissed

Account Closure Account Closure

A few months ago, my account was closed. They said it violated the ToS because I was "gambling". I'm not sure how they came to that conclusion but ive been round and round with support. Filed an appeal, they said I wasn't eligible. Reading through the subreddit, ive noticed that a lot of people have had their account closed. What really sucks is how you can't make a new account. The only reason I liked cash app was because the card is customizable.

Direct Deposits not eligible for higher savings interest rate Direct Deposits not eligible for higher savings interest rate

Cashapp’s requirement to get the higher savings account rate was $300 / month in paycheck direct deposits.

So I directed payroll at my employer to deposit around $400 / month into cashapp. Then I waited for enough time to pass to meet the requirement, but I never got the higher rate.

I contacted support and exchanged emails, but cashapp just insisted that they weren’t paycheck direct deposits.

I gave up and just don’t use the savings account, and stopped all direct deposits to cashapp.

I don’t care to try and get it remedied. It’s been awhile anyway. It was just unfair. Nothing in any of the agreements and terms says it has to be the entire paycheck. It just says it has to be $300 within the period. I met that requirement.

Whoes fault it is? Whoes fault it is?

I want just to check of we all are in the same place, and that im not wrong on this...

My mom forgot to cancel her anual subscription from Doordash. So the $96.00 transaction came out today out of a Cash App Pay trasaction.

My mom is blaming cash app, cause "they allowed" the transaction go through.

I told her that is is totally her fault, cause it was a subscription neither Doordash nor Cash app has fault on this.

Do you agree with me?

Or is this Cash app fault, Doordash fault?

FRAUD: customer service hell-loop FRAUD: customer service hell-loop

Received a Cash App Debit Card in the mail that I didn't apply for or initiate. It has my name and correct address.

Called Cash App support team number listed on the card documentation and was told that the ONLY way to close the account was to send them MORE PII via email to "confirm" my fraud claim.

Next, called Visa directly who was able to put a permanent lock on the card, but not officially close the account. Visa told me to call Sutton Bank, the issuing bank for the card (and for Cash App).

Called Sutton Bank directly, and am redirected to a voicemail box or told to call Cash App bank. There is no way to talk to a human.

u/CashAppAndi how is this an ONGOING ISSUE!? Looking back through this sub, I see cases exactly like this for years.

HELP!

Fun with Photoshop? Is this Cash App payment legit or fraudulent? Fun with Photoshop? Is this Cash App payment legit or fraudulent?

Thank you (!) for any help, opinions, experiences.

Car disappeared from yard last week.

Friend sez he bought the car from our mutual friend for $1,000 via Cash App on Oct 12, 2024; just now towed it away.

Our mutual friend (seller) died in December 2024. He had been trying to sell the car and most certainly would have told those of us trying to help him if he had sold it. Unfortunately there is no way to confirm any payment received by the seller.

Cash App payment looks Photoshopped for the following reasons. See question marks.

  1. The payment of $1000.00 should appear in the Activity column. Correct?

  2. "Payment received" is for deposits, not payments. According to my Cash App test to another friend it should have read "Payment sent successfully." Correct?

  3. "Depositing to Cash Balance" is completely wrong. It should have read "Payment source Cash balance" or possibly from another source (bank?)

Anything else looks suspicious?

Again, thank you for any confirmation.

Seller was a good guy. It's not cool to steal from the dead.

WTH CashApp!?! You locked me out of my account for my protection? WTH CashApp!?! You locked me out of my account for my protection?

WTH CashApp!?! You locked me out of my account for my protection? 24-48 hours before I might have access to my money? Customer support was not only dismissive and disrespectful but they failed to grasp the gravity of the situation your decision left me in.

In the hours prior to locking my account, I sent you a customer support request which you ignored, I made a deposit and set up another deposit I’m supposed to get in the next day.

This arbitrary action has been immediately harmful (explained in detail to customer service staff) leading but not limited to loss of income/revenue/client retention.

I will be exercising my constitutional right under the seventh amendment.

FRUSTRATING FRUSTRATING

so to make a story a little bit shorter. My internet bill is a monthly basis similar to a phone bill, I forgot to pay it and it turned off, I went to pay it but without internet I was using phone data. I tried to make a payment which didn't go through ( I thought) and used my neighbors Internet to make the payment. I check the balance 10 minutes later to see a second payment. It's been 10 days and it's still pending. No record of it through Xfinity . So it just be lost in the mix somewhere. Cashapp keeps giving me standerd instructions about how I can dispute when it goes through. It's obviously never going to go through. Can someone please tell me what to do ? And when did cashapp start using bots when you ask for a person?
