Best setting powder for dark skin?

Question

  • r/MakeupAddiction - Best setting powder for dark skin?

I am finally ready to stick a big toe into the world of baking. I have a lot of setting powder that was gifted to me by an old resident but I am pretty sure they are for pale- lighter skin. What would you recommend I use? Also, what do you prefer as an applicator. Brush, powder puff or blender? Thanksss 💋

-Maybelline fit me setting powder -Yardley loose powder -makeup revolution baking powder -essence banana powder (might be too light so only use for brighting under eyes) -LA girl pro powder

For application it depends what look you are looking for

For a full Matte look: beauty blender and brush off with a brush a few minutes later

Airbrush/less matte: powder puff but dab off the excess

I love Laura Mercier (black top). I just added the Givenchy for deeper skin in my cart for the FAFO sale at Sephora. I put the mini size. Also, Beauty Bakerie has a good powder and it’s inexpensive. I think the main thing is what’s your skin type? Cause not all powders are created equally. I’m combo dry and those the powders that work for me. Fenty’s loose powder in banana is also a fav of mine

    FAFO?

I have oily (brown) skin and I really like Tatcha! Expensive but worth it!

Will look into it. Thank you!

I’ve heard great things about KimChi beauty! Although I do not have dark skin their setting powder is absolutely amazing and holds my makeup all day.

    Fenty beauty

Juvia's place I am Magic loose setting powder - Comes in 3 shades White sands (fair) Kalahari (banana yellow) and Gobi (brown). Inexpensive and blends in really well with dark skin. I prefer to use Gobi all over and Kalahari on places I'd like to brighten.

Fenty Invisamatte Setting- Blotting powder - Super translucent and helps so much with oil control.

one-size setting powder in pink, yellow, and their powdered foundation work rlly well as setting powder on darker complexions ive seen ☺️
