Anyone w/ a GE Opal ice maker know how to keep the ice cold?
Seems like every couple hours the ice melts and I have to run the clean mode. Any advice would be awesome. TIA!

Sorry to say friend, but I believe that particular model does not keep the ice cold. Reading the FAQ and manual, I found a bit about "it does not keep ice frozen in the ice bin". If you want to keep said ice, you likely have to move it to a freezer after it comes out.

Wow. Thanks for looking into that for me. Good to know, but crappy design. I luckily have the freezer right next to the ice maker so I can move the ice into it
Not sure if we have a different model but ours stays frozen. Over time it melds into a ball of harder ice, but still usable chunks. Maybe it’s a different year?
That how it’s supposed to work. It keeps making ice through the day from the water in the tank and the water from the ice melt. Just let it run through the day. That’s what I do.

I know this post is old but adding a fan next to the air filter did wonders for my 1.0

I have notice few ice makers; mine, friend, neighbors; do not keep them cold enough to solidify. We make ice, then bag or bowl it into a real freezer
Ice makers only make ice...they don't store it. Unfortunately, you have to bag it up and put it in your freezer to keep it.
Not true there are some that do.
It doesn’t, when the ice melts it drops into the tank to be refrozen into ice. It’s a cycle that doesn’t stop
