Tandoor.dev is a great option. It is very user friendly in my opinion and lets you do a bunch of things. I'd give their demo a try online before ruling it out.

I wish I could use tandoor. They don't accept any payments outside of Europe due to tax laws. And the free version only allows you to upload 10 recipes.

Mealie is great

Hi, Tandoor dev here, if kitchen owl has a way to export its recipes feel free to let me know and I can look into if its feasible to build an importer for Tandoor. If you dont have any data in there yet the switch should be easy, feel free to give the free hosted version a try.

I've been using your solution since before you called it 'Tandoor', just 'recipes'. I also haven't updated in a year or so because its doing everything I need right now, and I don't want to screw up anything.

Thanks for the development.

Does Tandoor have a mobile app?

Long time user - just wanted to say thanks. I love that I can gather, share, adjust etc my recipes. It's allowed me start a family cookbook of my own. You do great work and have provided many a fine meal (so to speak).

Try https://mealie.io/ or https://grocy.info/ Grocy might be more than you need, but has a recipe manager included.

}

Grocy is fantastic in theory but they don't even include basic data like measurement conversions in there. So totally frustrating as I need to manually set those up to make it work

KitchenOwl is more an alternative for shopping lists like Bring! and I love it. For receipe manger you could try cookbook if you're using nextcloud. Other options are the mentioned mealie or tandoor.

Grocy is more like an erp of your food and imo to complicated.

}

I'm using the cookbook app inside of nextcloud. It does pretty well at parsing recipes from URLs

}

I kept telling myself I'd switch to a dedicated app, but the Cookbook app and the Android app works and it's continued to fall down my priority list.

Do any of these solutions have a mobile app to make it easy when out and about?

Not self hosted but private, will remain free and you can share recipes with friends.

I made foryoueats.com

Can read about it on a reply I did on r/Cooking.
