Discussion

I know there is too many uninstallers like

  1. Iobit uninstaller

  2. Bulk crap uninstaller

  3. Revo uninstaller

  4. Geek uninstaller

I wonder what is the best one overall?

Revo Uninstaller Pro and Bulk Crap Uninstaller are the two best imo. Revo seems to delete the most left-behind data. It also has a Windows Explorer shell extension that allows you to right-click on any app's folder and uninstall it that way, for stubborn to uninstall apps. Bulk Crap Uninstaller is fully free, and can uninstall almost anything.

I have always used Geek Uninstaller, the portable version. Never once faced a problem

Agree, it's one of those rare programs that you just use and forget about it because it never gives you problems

In order to have any kind of rational discussion about this, we would first need to define what do you mean by "the best".

For example, the fact of the matter is that most of the so called uninstaller apps do the exact same thing as all the other ones: The list the installed software that are registered to the system, read what is the UninstallString of these programs and allow you to run that via their uninstaller UI. In other words, they do the exact same thing that Windows allows you to do via its Programs and Features tool in the Settings.

Another thing is also do you want to define "the best" by really mean "the best and FREE", or do you mean the best overall, as you imply?

Disclaimer: I'm the developer of one popular software that includes an uninstaller tool, which, of course, I think is the best by two merits: it can do unattended, batch uninstallation unlike most other tools (Bulk Crap Uninstaller comes close to this ability, but it also fails to uninstall some apps), and secondly is the actual uninstallation performance. That is, how much data is left behind after an uninstallation is completed, which again I believe my software does better than anything else.

And can you link your software for us ?

I personally prefer geek even if objectively it's not the best.

Bulk crap is good, but kinda feels kinda sluggish to use. Geek feels faster and more straight forward. Has the limitation of only allowing on uninstall at a time with the free version tho.

Wise uninstaller and Soft Organizer, are what I use. Soft Organizer is especially good because it has a trace function when you first install a program, so that I is able to get rid of a anything related to said program.
