Real VNC client for PiKVM?

Hello, I just ordered the PiKVM, I'm wondering if RealVNC viewer works well with PiKVM (on MacOS). If not, is there any recommended viewer for Macs? I want full screen so I prefer an app rather than the web browser.

Thanks in advance!

The recommended VNC client is TigerVNC which does have Mac builds. See https://docs.pikvm.org/vnc/ for more information!

I haven't set up a PiKVM yet, but I really like the VNC app Screens for Mac and iOS. It is a bit pricey, but it's super clean software and works great.

So I did setup the Pi-KVM and I have to admit that the web interface is much better as is the quality compared to VNC (I used TigerVNC). When Safari browser is set to full screen (hide tabs) it is a full screen display and you can use WebRTC option which is faster than VNC. I've used VNC for 20 years but I prefer the native app in Pi-KVM. I think you will find the same. Give both a try! Good luck.

Bear in mind, apps like Screens can only connect once the Mac starts up. With PiKVM, its connected even on restart so you can do things like zap PRAM, remote boot, etc. The KVM is also guaranteed to run even if the Mac crashes (rare!), I wouldn't bet the same for Screens (or Splashtop).
