External ssd not showing up at all

I bought an SSD ( vulcan 512) and bought a sabrent external ssd usb cable. When i plug it in it doesn’t appear in file manager. When i go into device manager and click on disk drives it only appears as sabrent ssci disk device. It also doesn’t show up in disk management.
