I wouldn't mind being able to play my movie collection on PC but I kinda have a PS5 for that. So I'm wondering if the Apple Superdrive is good enough to rip accurate CDs on my PC or should I splurge more for the LG?

It is less time-consuming to download the files corresponding to the songs, but I had numerous LG drives during my DVD duplication days. I have never had a problem with them.

I use an internal Asus DVD drive with a powered sata to usb Adapter

Coincidental timing--I have an LG AP70 Super Multi-Blade Drive that looks brand new and includes the original box, manual, software disc, and cable that I was planning to list on Facebook Marketplace today. I don't think it has ever been used. It was widely recommended in similar "best CD ripper" discussions from my research. As odd as it may sound, I forgot I had an old desktop PC in my attic with a disc drive...In any case, I was planning to let it go for $20, and I would cover shipping to domestic US addresses. I have photos that I'm happy to direct message you. For reference, this is the model I'm talking about- https://www.bestbuy.com/site/lg-8x-external-double-layer-dvdrw-cd-rw-supermulti-blade-drive-silver/1802033.p?skuId=1802033&extStoreId=383&utm_source=feed&ref=212&loc=19889044213&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAiArva5BhBiEiwA-oTnXRUCaRQPZR4-4a5fs3KMvf3NBTF5ykZZBi1R8ZszfkkzwhhPIdxuVhoC9boQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds

If you're ever interested in ripping movies check out this thread. https://forum.makemkv.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=19634

I use a LG BP50NB40, it's a slim external and works great for ripping my music collection and the odd movie.

I bought this one for like 18 bucks a few months ago. Ripped tons of CDs and it’s still doing fine.

I just got the LG drive setup to rip blu-rays. I'm really happy with it, but regarding the music CD ripping experience, I haven't noticed any difference between the newer LG drive, and the ancient basic HP external CD drive I was using before. Unless you want to rip movie files, I'd save the money and go with the Super Drive

I've been using this one for 4 years now with no problems

You can get an External USB LG DVD/CD RW for 18 bucks at Bestbuy if you oh only want to rip CDs. Very cheap and functional.

The software you use to rip is also significant for the sound quality. I use dBPowerAmp for example. This program is great in correcting errors in CD’s and can convert them to almost every file type possible.
