Automatic Subtitles Synchronization does not work

For anyone with this "issue":

Next time you notice a subtitle isn't synced, go into bazarr and find the subtitle and click on the history button on the right (looks like a rewind symbol). Check if a sync completed (clock symbol) and check the score of the subtitle. Most likely if a sync did not complete, the score of the subtitle was above the threshold for automatic subtitle synchronisation.

I did some testing to validate that the setting works as intended and indeed it does. See here.

Sometimes highly scored subtitles are just out of sync. My recommendation is to just remove the automatic subtitle synchronisation threshold and have it sync every new subtitle. This way they are always in sync :)

Doesn't this impact performance quite a bit? I'm seeing my CPU activity much higher now that I have Bazarr in the mix. Maybe it's not impactful enough but I worry if someone is currently streaming and then a download comes in which causes a long string of syncs to kick off.

Oh, and also: is there a way to trigger a global sync via the auto-sync tool on every sub files I have instead of doing it one by one?

No, that doesn't exist and it would probably overload your server for a couple of days. You really want to trigger something like this from a webui? Some users on Discord have did this with a script.

The automatic and manual process for syncing a subtitles is exactly the same so there shoukdn't be any difference. It the exact same function that is called with the same argument.

I've heard of scripting sync externally and had zero luck finding anything (windows related anyway) to do it nicely. Stuck in manual sync hell.

Did you put your threshold high enough for it to trigger?

What exactly does this mean? I'm personally new to using Bazarr so my apologies for the non-know-how. I'm finding some subs (particularly opensubtitles with Angel) are either out of sync or possibly too slow (not detecting framerate properly)

Any luck with this? I have been using Bazzar for a long time and find that I am having to run the sync manually after a download despite the same "Automatic Subtitle Synchronization" being turned on.

Works absolutely perfectly after I manually run it, so no complaints there but yeah just never actually does it automatically/immediately after the interactive manual download. Maybe it's because it doesn't meet the threshold and I have to manually grab the subs, but it still runs my ad removal script so it really should still run the sync, even more so in this case where the rating is low.
