I quit nextcloud a year ago, because of enormous lags, server constantly timed out rendering file transfer incredibly slow, problems with the client side having to edit some configuration files to avoid errors that would prevent transfers of large files to complete, well it was a disaster. But honestly my nextcloud server worked fine during years and years. Its just that with time, updates and about 1.5To of files, it was unusable.
In the end I migrated everything to seafile and it has been very good thus far. Same data, sames users, and it is still blazing fast, doesn't bug, takes updates like a champ.
But warning, seafile is not a drop-in replacement for nextcloud, its only a file cloud, nothing else.
I distinctly remember Nextcloud being extremely slow and difficult to setup. If it’s gotten better that would be great but Tailscale makes it unnecessary for me
I wish you could just point Nextcloud to a directory on your server and that's what it shares out. However, all the files have to be scanned into their own database and you can't just drop in files into the directories on the backend.
Does anyone know where can I edit the Custom : nextcloud-aio network the main container creates? If I set the main AIO Container to a separate VLAN, this custom network that is created defaults to Bridge mode. I want to keep web facing applications on a separate network for obvious reasons. Thanks

FileBrowser does that.
