AdGuard Home on home proxmox CT or cloud VPS?

I want to install and use AdGuard on my phone but I am wondering which option is better - i have home server with proxmox
And the second option is cloud VPS (oracle for example)
My second wondering is ...how to secure my DNS server from chinese and indian stupid attacks? I have WireGuard to my home network and first option is to put the DNS in the WG config and use always on wireguard ... Any fresh ideas? :) Thanks!

That's the way.
It's better to be able to disable it when needed.
You can install WG + AG on the VPS as well. That's how I use it on my phone for ad blocking.
How do I go about setting this up?
Just buy a cheap VPS and install WG and AG using proxmox? And it’s secure as a home server?
