The wifi pcie has 1-2 lanes, so the egpu performance would be severely bottlenecked. I'd recommend the M.2 pcie of your storage for that. If the framework is intel, I think the TB controller chip is embedded on the cpu dye, and you only need to get sth like a TH3P4G3 or a Razer core X and connect it via Thunderbolt usbc. Ryzen compatibility with TB4 is questionable since not all USB4 is TB4 bc the TB4 part is optional, and you need to pay intel to certify it.
Is there any other options for the thunderbolt? Preferably one as small as possible so it can fit inside my cyberdeck
