Help

I'm looking for an equivalent app like Notepad++, which unfortunately isn't available for Mac. I need something with M support. I'm happy about suggestions :)

The everything app, for work. Get everyone working in a single platform designed to manage any type of work.

CotEditor?

Not sure if it’s open source but it’s free in the App Store.

BBEdit, Sublime Text, Cot Editor or run Notepad++ in WINE (don't actually do this, it seems to run fine but the OS integration is super clunky or non/functional -- Win95-style file open and save dialogs, opening in Finder with a right-click is broken).

Brackets, CotEditor, TextEdit, TextMate, etc.

You should specify what features do you need.

GEdit via homebrew

Look at Pulsar. It's a fork of the popular Atom editor that was killed off by Microsoft-owned GitHub. It has packages for editing over sftp, column-selection, plus tons of others and excellent search and replace.

VS Code/Codium. The extensions really make it so good and versatile.

I’ve switched to VSCode for everything like this. You won’t go back.

If you need it for coding: Visual Studio Code.

CotEditor looks slick!
