I just got the RMCE-TW2 that are pushing SE846 from an iPhone 12 Max. So two answers:

  1. The volume controls on the earbuds also control the volume on the phone at the same time. (They are not independent.)

  2. I have to turn the volume up to 80% or more to be satisfied with the volume. Most of the time 100% is not too loud.

OK I would be using them on android we can do something called absolute volume which separates the 2 wonder if it works

I can't see any info about microphone. Is it like GEN 1 where microphone and calls work only on the right side?

No, on the Gen 2 model you can hear calls on both the left and right sides. Or use either side if you'd prefer just one earphone for calls.

The Gen 2 model allows you to compensate for the different output levels of different Shure earphone models. So if you set it for the SE846 (which is louder) it will decrease its output slightly. If you set it for the SE215 (which is not as loud) it will increase its output to compensate. Now if you are using 846's but you tell the app that you have 215's . . .

Just to be clear the mics during a call only use one headset mic. Yes you will hear the user in both in stereo but only one mic is used. If you take any one out the mic will switch. So yes you can use only one for a call. It’s too bad they need BOTH mics active. The mic quality is “decent” in my book. I think it could be “good” if they used both. Hopefully TW3 will use both + beam forming to help improve pickup. Think with Shure they would have this nailed by now.

Bringing this back for a second, anyone having issues with their IEM's popping off completely from the adapter itself when pushing it into your year? My ear is shaped weird so i rely on the hook a lot, i have to push in and twist the IEM and sometimes it pops off on both adapters. At least in my experience. Anyone have this issue? I wanna know if i need to return them for a replacement before my amazon return period runs out.
