How to upload 1TB of existed photos?

r/immich - How to upload 1TB of existed photos?

It can take days, especially when I have to use container console. Maybe Immich has better faster solution?

UPDATE

Thank you, community! Setup external library according to manual, finally I don`t need to run my laptop with opened console.

Immich-Go is an open-source tool designed to streamline uploading large photo collections to your self-hosted Immich server.

Personally I just used an external library set to read-only in the docker yaml

Second this response. Worked beautifully on my Google takeout

I think it's actually the fastest solution. I was able to upload 800Gb in a few hours so it's maybe your internet connection ?
Actually 45486s is roughly 12h so that sounds relatively acceptable.

I have local server maybe because I have many files

Wait it out, just done pretty much the same with 900 gigs.

Then comes the fun of processing them...

Worth it, finding pics we had completely forgotten about thanks to the facial recognition and smart search.

I just used an external library. I have roughly the same smount

External library, add the location in your docker compose and then scan it from Immich admin
