I've been doing that for years. Install the "Bookmarks" app on Nextcloud if not already then use "Floccus" plugin on Firefox to sync.
I tried floccus/Nextcloud to a WebDAV file but had a few problems. It didn't like the way some browsers file their bookmarks so if you use a bookmarks bar it doesn't always work with the likes of Vivaldi. I also found bookmarks often got synced back in a different order - and that matters if you have fine-tuned your bookmarks bar just how you like it.
I am now using the xbrowsersync add-on. It doesn't store your bookmarks locally, but syncs across every single browser I've tried it with - Firefox, ungoogled Chromium, Brave, Vivaldi, Edge to name a few. Nothing fazes it. Just perfect.
floccus works ok. I'm not sure how fancy you can get with setup because I just use it to sync a single random list of bookmarks but it seems to work ok.
What about iOS? Is there an app for sync on iOS?
No true syncing. But you can at least access them via this app. iOS 15 is adding extensions to Safari so there’s some hope.
Yes, I use the Floccus extension for Vivadi and Firefox and the Nextcloud Bookmarks app.
This. Also works with Kiwi on Android. I used that setup for the last couple of weeks and will stick to it

Nextcloud Bookmarks + Floccus extension is the way to go.
Brilliant I'll look into it. Do you know if it work with Brave?
