Get more ram. Graphic design won't notice a big difference in performance. You could use even a M1 and still be okay with it. Get the more ram model

This is a tough choice because the M4 will be somewhat faster for CPU tasks, but the M3 Pro will be faster for GPU tasks AND it has 2 GB more RAM. It is really hard to say. Flip a coin perhaps? :)

Or what about this, can you find a cheap M2 Max because it will have more RAM, more GPU cores, and dual video encoders which can speed up rendering video a lot.

which m2 max model do you recommend? cpu, gpu? I almost never buy a 2nd hand product among my buying principles, but I will take a look to have an idea, maybe there are still sellers who sell zero products.

I’d go with whichever is cheaper. Performance is going to be very similar.

Give it a few days and wait for the reviewers to do their comparisons. There’s a possibility that the M4 is really equivalent to the M3 pro, but it’s still a little speculative

I will wait until November 6 or 7 for the pre-order. I can't wait to see third-party testing, but prices will probably increase after the pre-order period due to economic conditions in my country. The base model Mac M4 is 1600 dollars, while the base model m4 will cost 2200 dollars due to taxes and exchange rate difference in my country. If 3rd party tests are not released by the end of the pre-order period, I will do the biggest coin flip of my life.

CPU wise, M4 is better. GPU wise, M3 Pro has more cores and it’s better. Some tasks perform better on more cores.

I don’t regret buying m3 pro model infact i loved, it i got m3 pro for lesser price than m4 base model i am happy with my purchase 😋
