"the lg service country information could not be retrieved from the server"
Recieving this error when trying to sign in to download an app. Tried the workaround to set my country as "other" but this didn't work. Is this an LG server problem or a me problem?
Edit: Should say this is on a C2 OLED
Same problem here.. hopefully someone has a fix.
Guessing it's server side if multiple people are reporting the issue. So hopefully LG will fix it on their end soon.
The country location change fix does not work for sure. I noticed the issue 12 hours ago (EU), still not working.
did it work after some time?
Guys,I had the same prblm..just fixed it by changing location to other. Accept terms and then go back to current location. It worked im finally logged in
All online features stopped working after I upgraded my OLED65A26LA from WebOS 23 to WebOS 24 and reset the TV to its initial settings. At first, the TV could not load user agreements, so I could not log in to my account or launch any apps. Then, after tweaking some network settings, I could load the agreements and tick the box to agree to them. However, the TV still appeared offline, even though the web browser did work. Weird. I tried all the solutions suggested here and elsewhere, but the only thing that eventually worked was using the Ethernet instead of WiFi. That way, I was able to sign in to my account, download apps, etc. After that, everything became accessible via WiFi as well - as if merely connecting the Ethernet cable and logging in fixed the issue.
If anyone is still experiencing this issue:
Suddenly, I was unable to use the App Store, log in, or change any of the settings mentioned here.
Failed attempts:
-
Logging into LG ThinQ
-
Changing location
-
Changing DNS to "8.8.8.8"
My Solution:
In my case, I had to use the DNS "8.8.4.4" instead.
