LG C4 repeated wifi issues
Lately I've been having repeated issues while streaming. I thought it was with the streaming service for the show I've been binging, but after becoming unbearable I decided to dig into the issue. Tested the Internet speed the the web browser app and found my speed was a screaming 5mb down. Found a trick online to change the location to Canada and then back. This causes the TV to reboot. It fixed the issue and I was +100mb. But I've had to do this several times in the past 2 weeks. Anyone else have this issue and know of a more permanent solution?

IMHO it sounds like the TV is located at the fringe of the 5 GHz band and using the 2.4 GHz band in its place. When you reboot the TV the WiFi is reestablishing the connection at 5 GHz which is maintained until it isn’t.
You may have other devices near the TV that continually test at 100 Mbps but those devices don’t have the same radio/antenna at the TV. Plus, 100 Mbps is not an indication of signal strength.
There are apps that can report signal strengths of both WiFi bands for all nearby WiFi. I have such an app on my MacBook which I use to survey my home. The app can also report channels.
If you can’t measure signal strengths consider moving your WiFi temporarily closer to the TV just to see if that helps.
Thanks for the feedback, but the wifi router is literally right under the TV. The wifi is 5G
To add, this TV is about 2 months old.
I’m experiencing the same issue on my LG C4, any solution?
I haven't had any issues since I replaced my router. I was using one provided by my service provider. It had minimal control. I got a newer TP-Link that lets me tweak the band to one less congested. That old router was also causing disconnections while PC gaming.
