LG C4 still comes with 100 Mbps LAN!
Why is 100 mbps still a thing this days?
I want to use my full fiber network of 1 Gbps
To play my games on Geforce Now, Boosteroid or Xbox cloud.
Is there a way to enable this?
Or is Wifi better this time arround?

Buy an ethernet adapter. It plugs in via USB. My TV connection for streaming is around 350 MBPS on average (download)
This is the way.
A full Blu-ray rip through Plex will have problems playing back at this speed, even though the math says it shouldn’t.
Because they don’t want to spend the extra $20 for a faster port lol.
More like $2. With $10, you can buy a usb ethernet adapter, which includes the ethernet adapter, the usb adapter and the enclosure, and this is at retail, not in their bulk components pricing.
If "they" spend $20 they have to charge you at least $40. That's just the way competitive margins work.
Use an external streaming box
It's all smart TVs and frankly a travesty because they assume 95% of customers will connect via Wi-Fi or use a set top box for Internet media
I'd bet 95+% of them do use WiFi. That said the premium models should be coming with gigabit ports.
I raised this point prior about the 83g2s as well. Got laughed out of the room and was told to buy an adapter. IMO it costs Pennie’s to put a gig chip in especially on a tv that costs greater than 7k retail.
All to often do I see Apple TVs and other streamers hit greater than 100mbps on feeds. I guess lg figures it’s not a problem worth fixing even for a tv at the price point.
Pretty sad tbh considering it’s 2024.
