Is it pivpn still save after that it has ended the support for it? How long do you think that it is gonna be save to use?
Yes, 100%. Pivpn configures wireguard for you, it doesn’t run the protocol. If there is ever a security issue with wireguard updating your system will get you the patches to resolve it. The issue with it not being supported too much deep into the future is that one day it just might not work anymore. This isn’t the same as wireguard itself no longer being supported.

Yes
Just install wireguard on your router and enjoy the benefits of pihole plus full remote access to your network.
It isn't that simple for the majority of raspi owners. Not everyone runs an OPNSENSE firewall at home like us.
