CarPlay to Android Auto Conversion
Update since I word bad and it's causing confusion - My car has the option to ONLY do CarPlay from the factory, and I'm looking to utilize Android Auto on it instead. I could've sworn there were dongles that could piggyback to do this somewhere. The second piece of this is that the car only has wired CarPlay and I would like to do it wirelessly because the USB port it uses won't even charge my phone because it's so low power. So I am essentially looking for a dongle that can make AA work on a CP car that will also make the connection wireless.
I remember seeing this was possible somewhere, but cant seem to find it again. My car only has Wired CarPlay ability. Is there a way to convert it to Android Auto (and preferably wirelessly)?
I haven't tried it personally but there is a way to do it as far as i have read it in this article it works all right and gets the job done.

Who makes cars in 2022 that don't support Android Auto?
Who said OPs car was made in 2022?
Chinese brands and re-brands are strongly being introduced worldwide with their own names, or by being renamed. The most popular example I can think of is SAIC motor group or MG, but there are other brands like Chevrolet or Dodge selling rebranded SAIC cars in their lineups outside the USA.
Because there's no Google (and no Android Auto) in China, sometimes chinese cars include headunits that only support CarPlay and MirrorLink, but don't include support for Android Auto.
In some cases the brand adds support for CarPlay on firmware upgrades or by upgrading the headunit, but in entry-level headunits this is not the case.
My BMW X2 does not have Android Auto. I recently changed my phone from iPhone to Samsung and now is stuck as the normal Bluetooth connection is primitive.
The head unit (car stereo) will state whether or not it supports CarPlay and/or Android Auto. Those specs should be searchable on Google. If it says CarPlay only, you cannot "convert" it to support Android Auto. If it supports wired Android Auto, you can convert it to Wireless with some dongles from Motorola and others.
There are quite a few dongles that convert wired CP to wireless AA but as it piggyback CP protocol, they all have similar issues and complaints that have been discussed in this sub before. OP have to search for the discussions as I don't recommend any.
My 2024 Porsche Macan ONLY has CarPlay.
But you cannot even see the CarPlay App until you plug in an iphone.
I do not have an iphone and therefore the CarPlay App is not even visible when I use my Android.
It will also not be visible when I would plug in a conversion unit.
Will any of the units open the CarPlay to convert it to Android Auto even without an iphone being installed?
Renault Laguna III 2013 only have Android Auto. But I have iPhone. What shoud i use to convert the CarPlay to Android Auto?
