Is anyone here happy with the 15 inch MacBook Air?

Discussion

How does the size feel? Just right, or too big?

Are you glad you got the 15 inch instead of the 13 inch? Is it really that big of a size difference?

Any other advantages of the 15 inch over the 13 inch?

Anything things you don’t like about the 15 inch?

Any other advantages of 15 over 13. Nope, apart from on the screen they're the same.

I've used both and it's truly a preference thing. I personally prefer the 13 for compactness when traveling. But for someone that uses it at home or wants a big screen regardless of travel then it's a fantastic option .

I use my MacBook "on the go" rather than "on the desk". For my use case, 13" is the better fit because it is a breeze to lug it around.

At home I use a desktop with 2 x 27" screens - so for me a 15" is already like trying to decorate the hallway through the letterbox.

I go for real estate over weight every time.

I think the 15” looks but ugly with the sides not having any speaker grilles, but I’d still buy one if I needed a laptop.

yeah love it. feels like the ideal size for lounge use. I don't travel much these does though...

I have the 15”. Vastly prefer it to the 13”. Sometimes it can be a lil too big, but rarely for my use cases. It fits in my backpack no problem, even with a thick sleeve. It’s not heavy, I can still use it with one hand holding it up. The screen real estate is a huge plus for me, and I find the 15” more comfortable because I can rest my wrists in the laptop rather than the sharp edge.

The only time I’ve wished I had the 13”, was when I wanted to wear my shoulder bag instead of a full backpack. But that also doesn’t really matter to me because if I really need that level of portability, I just use my iPad Pro.

IMO, the 13” is too small, and the 15” is just about perfect size. If I had to get a laptop again, and I really need the portability, I would have to get a 14” Pro because I genuinely just cannot use a 13” Air. I’m blind enough to begin with.

Yes. This exactly. The 15 inch is perfect if you don't want to keep cutting your wrist on the laptop's sharp edge

for office work such as excel I can’t recommend anything below 15, you’re gonna destroy your eyes

Thinking if I should get the M3 MacBook Air 15 or the base M3 pro MacBook Pro 14

IMHO, 15" MBA makes sense for vision impaired users that don't have moulti monitor. setup, as well as for those that use the laptop for media consumption. But the portability of the 13" MBA is IMHO the killer USP.
