Xbox elite series 2 controller support
Hi everyone
I wanted to upgrade to an Xbox elite series 2 controller, specifically because it exposes the backpedals as their own buttons to steam input, so I can set individual uses for them on a per game level.
However I am uncertain if moonlight will actually allow me to use it that way, or it will just register as a normal Xbox controller, in which case I might as well just keep using the normal Xbox controller I already have.
EDIT: I should probably add that my host runs linux.

Out of the box nope. You'll need win11 and app from the store called Xbox accessories. From there you can upgrade the firmware and set paddle config. They won't work til you do.
Whether that then works with Linux, that's the Russian Roulette self hate that you guys love.
Yes that is not going to work I think 😅

Alrighty will look into that, if nothing else its 5 meters away from the host, so I could probably just connect it to that directly. This would be so easy if the damn steam link app didn't get massive screen delays 😅
Use a usb over ip solution like virtualhere with a host-side controller remapper.
I use reWASD (windows only) and it allows me to map the paddles to anything I want not just duplicate controller buttons. Not sure if there's anything similar on Linux.
