Does anyone here use the steam controller for remote play on ipad? I used to use it all the time without any problem. I paired it once and then just hit the steam button to reconnect.

but lately with the new big picture it seems like I have to reconnect the controller different way each time. Sometimes I have to hold the back button, sometimes the x, sometimes the B.

I can pair it it in the steam app before connecting to the host computer every time, but then it's in lizard mode once I get into Steam.

Sometimes I can pair it in iOS settings, but sometimes it takes 8 tries. I can sometimes pair it while holding Y but the moment I touch one of the pads, everything stops working.

Has anyone figured out a sure fire way to get it paired up every time?

I should not that this is all with a controller that has only ever been paired with the ipad.
