Best Tech Backpack out of these and why. Feel free to recommend others.
Hi everyone,
I work in Tech and pretty much carry a backpack with me everywhere I go. Inside my bag, there is usually a pair of running shoes, running shorts, and a shirt. Items that I carry on me at all times are a 15-inch laptop and an 11-inch iPad. I really care about durability as I plan to use it every day, looks are important as well, and would ideally like an independent section for the laptop and iPad. Oh, having a spot for a water bottle would be nice too but not a deal breaker.
I'm currently on the fence about the following backpacks:
Bellroy Transit Workpack
Bellroy Venture Ready
Elements Backpack Pro: Haven't found too much into this one but I like the looks.
AER Pack: I know there are a few versions of these but they all look extremely similar to me.
Evergoods CPL 24L: Only seems to have 2 colors and black pre-order only.

Update: Thank you to everyone who responded, I ended up ordering the AER TECH Pack, not 100% convinced it was the right choice but it had some qualities I was really looking for even if it meant giving up that extra room to maybe fit a pair of shoes. I am sure I will be getting a few more backpacks now that I started going down this rabbit hole.
Durability, functionality and comfort id suggest the AER line of packs, all have great tech/laptop sections with good protection.
They make a pack focused for carry clothes alongside a laptop if that’s something you want
They’re overbuilt and incredibly sturdy, feel as if they’d last for years without issue.
Bellroy also good in terms of quality and functionality and tech protection, I however found the back panels and shoulder straps to be uncomfortable and not very well ventilated.
If you’ve not tried out Evergoods before, you might want to locate one to try on first. Great bag but the straps never worked for me. Always needed to move them over and keep them from falling off, which was uncomfortable and annoying.
I've got a Boundary Supply Errant Pack and its got separate compartments designed to carry and laptop and tablet, interior and exterior bottle pocket, and a bottom entry thats separated from the rest of the pack with a bag, so if you use it for sweaty gym gear there's at least a little separation.
32L Osprey Nebula here, carrying 3 laptops, 1 tablet, 1 eReader, 2 phones, battery banks, cables, adapters, dual PSU, paper notepad, Keychron K7 keyboard, multiple headsets/buds, and other bits and pieces. It's traveled with this configuration, worldwide with me for tens of thousands of miles in the last few years.
I like the Venture ready best out of all those, with the CPL24 2nd. Given your list - potentially also check out the Alpha One Niner Evade 1.5, Evergoods CTB26 (better than the CPL24 for your list), and a GoRuck GR2. Happy hunting!
CTB26 looks huge, but looking at the Alpha One Niner Evade right now, looks great
GWA citadel or micro crew could work. I recently used citadel as my one bag travel to Singapore.
Citadel has an independent laptop compartment with another compartment in it. Allowing you to store documents and a laptop without one messing up the other. I recently carried a MacBook air in a smaller pouch and a 16" in the bigger part of the compartment.
Organization I'd is fairly minimal, but well designed. The biggest plus is it has velcro inside, so you can get hook and loop pouches to add as you please. I have a large cube velcroed to the bottom where I can put shoes and a smaller one at the top. For traveling, I had like 4 or 5 different sized pouches in there. Basically, I love velcro for organization.
The compression straps allow for opening up just the top part without getting a full blowout and having an entire backpack open up on you.
Side handles are very useful for everything.
Comes in cool colors and a lot of camo stuff if you are into that. With a big hook and loop strip on the front for you to do patches if you're into that. Also, it comes in just flat colors to be more office ready.
I like the padded back design that allows for some air circulation too.
Downside, pricy bugger. And limited drops, with a bit of fanatic cult following. During drops, it's like $350 to $400. They don't drop much in price, especially more desirable colors. I got my tigerstripe for $270 on their Facebook group. And waiting another 9 weeks on my second, I just got for $400 in a patern I really liked during a colab drop a week ago or so.
I'm not saying it's the best thing out there, but it ticked all the boxes for me.
