Are there bags that are similar to the LTT backpack that could take a beating but don't cost quite as much
Hey all, so I'm in the market for a new backpack and while I love the LTT backpack it's very expensive. I understand that a lot of that has to do with the quality and the time that it took to develop but I just don't have that kind of money to spend in a bag the other issue is that on top of being a technician I also am in a wheelchair so I need to carry double the amount of things that typical people might have to carry does anyone have any suggestions on good backpacks that could take a beating that are similar to the LTTbackpack without the cost associated with it?
If you gotta carry A LOT of stuff, you should look into hiking packs. The bonus there is they'll have extra straps to distribute weight (or to hang off things).
I have always been impressed by Timbuk2 bags.
But as an actual technician, I would look at Vito bags - except they are more expensive, I'm not sure if they make ones slightly less 'person with tools' to more tech friendly.
Osprey has good backpacks. On Amazon they're on sale often.
I travel for work - fly 2-3 times a week I have a 5 year old Nomatic bag that still looks brand new. They've got a decent black Friday sale going on so they're a little less expensive but not by much.
For a lower cost option, 5.11 tactical has quality gear. I have several backpacks as well as a messenger bag.

This!!! I used mine for 30+ years. Ex threw it out and bought me a garbage one that didn’t last 4 months. Still kinda salty about that.
I’ve found the Samsonite Pro DLX to be pretty good
I've used a Carhartt backpack for the last decade, probably for the next too.
I love the layout of my LTT backpack and carry it now....but you can get other great backpacks for less. I carried a 5.11 Tactical Rush 48 for years and still use it for fishing. My Timbuk2 messenger bag that did 100K+ flight miles in a year still looks new. Tons of my peers carry Swiss Gear backs and they hold up great. I hear Osprey are good and very reasonable.
