I've been getting into learning how to setup VLANS, and almost every tutorial I've come across, the VLAN tags are all in increments of 10.

For example:

  • VLAN10

  • VLAN20

  • VLAN30

  • VLAN40

Why not just have:

  • VLAN1

  • VLAN2

  • VLAN3

  • VLAN4

  • VLAN13

  • VLAN56

  • etc...

Is it just a standard? Just Curious.
