Might help people who are pulling their hair our with the app store issues. Lg replied to me on x confirming it's down on their end and they are working on it

Thank you! I’ve been so frustrated I thought I was the only one! My voice recognition is down too and I can’t even access my account as it says “The LG Services Country information could not be retrieved from the server”
I work in software. I can't think of what kind of massive fuck up could have led to this level of outage for this long! I wonder if they'll ever say what happened, or if they just hope everyone will forget and carry on
It's not your average "let's rollback the last Terraform deployment" outage, more likely a database outage like Slack yesterday. If they don't have someone with good db management chops in their store team, it's likely to take a while. Although it seems to be localized to the EMEA region so maybe not that, didn't hear complaints from american users.
The best advertisement LG could've done for Apple TV. I'm definitely getting a streamer box this weekend.

I have the Prime Video app installed locally and can't even use it. Terrible software design.
