If you use the Signal application you can pair your phone with your Windows PC and send text messages from your PC. Install the Signal application on both obviously. I have heard that Signal does not integrate with iPhone as well as it does on Android. I have only done this with an Android phone and a Windows 10 laptop.
I have been using MightyText. One feature I like is that the photos on my phone load into MightyText on my computer and they are easy to copy and paste. However they have limited the free version down to only 15 texts per month. I was fine with the 25 free and rarely went over, but 15 kind of makes it worthless. Everywhere you turn tech is asking for more and more. I'm wondering if there is another app that pairs with the computer and also transfers photos...free, of course. I was loving this app, but all the apps asking for more and more all the time makes my budget unhappy.
Open the default Google SMS app
Click the 3 dots in the upper right corner of the main/list screen
Most android phones have an application that ties into windows. Especially in windows 10 & 11. On windows the application is called "Phone Link". And it could vary on your android app, but on my Samsung it's called "Link to Windows"
Another solution would be to use your email. Most cell carriers have an email format that will work with texts. Just have to investigate what their format is.
I use an app called sideline on my iPhone. As a realtor, it’s awesome because it gives me a biz line and I can text from my windows computer, or any computer as long as I can log into their site. Makes sending links and what not very easy.
