Playing PoE on Surface Pro?

Hi guys, I'm considering getting a Surface Pro 4 with i7 processor.

I don't really play a lot anymore, but when i do it's PoE. So i just wanted to ask if any of you have experience regarding PoE performance on the surface.

Happy about any input.

Integrated Intel HD GPU, im going to say your chances are slim to none.

I have a surface pro 3 and even running Firefox and Word make it get hot.

Not saying it wont run games, it runs AOE2 and POE decent it just burns up while doing so. It's essentially a glorified tablet so you'd be better off getting a regular laptop that will have less heat issues.

I have the i7 Surface Pro 3. It ran alright averaging about 20ish FPS. As long as you ain't doing HC, it's playable for some people.

I play on the surface book and it works. Not the best graphics obviously but it's not bad.

surface book would work with the keyboard card (not great but would work). regular surfaces tend to overheat just watching videos for an extended amount of time so wouldnt recommend gaming on one.

Ran it on my i7 surface pro 3. Worked ok for most situations getting 30-40 fps. Sometimes it was pretty brutal when it went down to the 10 fps range during fights. The surface did get mighty toasty for multiple hour sessions though. Wouldn't recommend for hc thats for sure.

for that kind of money why not buy a good laptop with a decent gpu to play

it doesnt have to be one of those bulky ass shit laptops that weigh a tonne, plenty of very thin laptops nowadays have an okay gpu

personally i bought a lenovo thinkpad yoga and didn't get much value out of it as a tablet, and if you plan on using it 95% of the time as a laptop you won't get the value of it being a tablet either. its been a great laptop, but i say laptop, not tablet.

if you like that microsoft surface build quality maybe look at the surface book which has dedicated gpu, otherwise the other brands make some really nice stuff with great build quality, thin and light too.

Yes. Played on surface Pro 4 i5 with no problems over the Christmas :-)

Maybe if you set all your graphics well below the normally minimum through the config? I doubt it though with onboard graphics.

It plays flawlessly on a surface pro 2, so I think your fine.
