There are two kinds:
-
Flip type / Hinge Rotate:
-
Where the keyboard turns around the screen on a hinge
-
These are the most common ones
-
These are considered more convenient as laptops (opinions may differ).
-
-
Detachable type
-
Where the screen detaches from the keyboard
-
These are rarer
-
They are considered more convenient as tablets (opinions may differ)
-
It is also worth noting that all of these laptops come with a Touchscreen.
And finally, most of these can be used with a stylus. Some come with a stylus, others don't, and you have to get one separately.
u/canitus I wanted to thank you for this, which was helpful in my recent shopping.
However, I'd suggest that any such list also include information about displays. I was ready to pull the trigger on a Lenovo until I noticed the "45% NTSC" screens they all use. I was just in a Best Buy looking at these displays and they are abysmal.
A lot of people don't realize that many of the lower-end laptops now come with these terrible screens that are not even capable of properly displaying basic colors.
Thanks.
No Dells?
