Best 2-in-1 Laptop
hi everyone! i am an incoming computer science student and i am planning on buying another gadget. i already have an acer nitro 5 which is still very good and i dont plan on replacing it any time soon. the problem is that it is too heavy and since it is a gaming laptop, not the best battery life. i planned on buying a tablet for school stuff but i realized that it would be very limiting especially when coding and programming. so, i decided on buying a 2-in-1 laptop so that i can have a portable 2nd option for school while my nitro 5 just sits at home where i will do most of the work. what would be the best one for me. i would prefer a windows laptop since i am already used to windows. one of my options right now is the hp x360 but i am open to any other brands/models. budget is around $800-1300 maybe $1400.

surface laptops are great for 2 for 1 and will last, second to lenovo yoga 2-1, hp has pretty good ones too.
I would recommend you checking out this list if you are looking for any deals on laptops, list updates regularly.

In that budget, you can find a fairly nice 2 in 1 laptop. Check out the Lenovo Yoga 9i with Intel Ultra 7 CPU or also the SAMSUNG Galaxy Book3 Pro. But honestly, the work that you describe can be handled by much cheaper laptops. I highly recommend that you go through this list of 2 in 1 laptops. It includes all the popular new models from various price ranges.
go with lenovo

asus laptops
If you want sth like a windows tablet you could consider the minisforum v3.
Since you prefer 2 in 1, I would recommend this ASUS ROG Flow X13 because it comes with everything you need, AMD 8-Core Ryzen 9 6900HS CPU which is one of the latest in the market, 16GB of ram For smooth multitasking, good SSD storage of 1TB for faster boot up and loading, 13.4" WUXGA 120Hz 500nits IPS screen which is a must have for this price range , NVIDIA RTX 3050 Laptop GPU which is good enough for light to medium gaming, high build quality, and backlit keyboard.

Desperately looking for a 2-in-1 that I can use for home and work (engineering, design, modelling, and also video editing, content creation, and drawing). Would prefer at least a Core i-7 and 32GB RAM. Thanks.
For those googling and finding this thread, I do not suggest Lenovo. Since 2019 models and on, even their Carbon series, we've had too many strange hardware and firmware bugs to continue considering them. Biggest issues is sudden inability to wake from sleep or from shutdown state regardless of a full battery or being plugged into power. The little hidden reset button is the key to powering back on. Firmware/bios updates do not resolve. They're famous for running dead while plugged into AC power via a docking station, even their first-party USB C and Thunderbolt models of docking stations using the "correct" signified port on their PD power supported models.
Their customer service used to be great for ordering parts but lately they've been a pain in the ass on the phone, quickly discontinuing models making hard to shop for parts. They've plain and simply gone from our favorite to now being too quirky and not worth messing with anymore.
Design wise, Lenovo is pretty alright but overall inability to just work makes them impossible to recommend.
Are there other brands/2 in 1 laptops you would recommend that are more reliable?
