- What is happening to the WARFRAME Wiki?
- We are moving to a new wiki officially hosted by Digital Extremes at wiki.warframe.com! This has been in planning since October 2024 when we approached Digital Extremes the possibility of self-hosting, to make the wiki experience a much more smoother experience for everyone.
- Why are you leaving Fandom?
- An accumulation of multiple years worth of frustration with excessive ads that hinder the viewing experience and site performance, as well as multiple cases of Fandom implementing changes unwanted by the community and sometimes even Digital Extremes themselves. Warframe is a wiki-heavy game, and Fandom is actively making that experience worse.
- And what makes the new wiki different?
- For one, wiki.warframe.com will not have excessive ads that take up half the screen, not have annoying video that scrolls down with you, not have intrusive popups that makes reading annoying. For two, the new wiki will also sport much better destop and mobile performance. For three, full support from Digital Extremes!
- Does this mean Fandom wiki is no longer the official wiki now?
- Correct. Digital Extremes no longer endorses Fandom as the official wiki. The new official wiki is now wiki.warframe.com.
- Is the new wiki complete and up-to-date?
- Yes, wiki.warframe.com is freshly forked, and it will be where all future Warframe updates will be covered. It's basically the same wiki you know, minus the excessive ads and plus the huge performance boost.
- What about my edit and contribution history in the new wiki?
- You can reclaim your existing edits in this link!
- Will comment sections be ported over to the new wiki?
- Yes! Comment section will be ported over to the new wiki, including all the previous comments over the years! Stay tuned on that!
- Will the wikis of other language also be migrated to the new wiki as well?
- Yes! If you are one of the admins in the other language, please keep in touch in our Wiki Discord and contact one of the admins there to express your interest in the migration process.
- What is Digital Extremes's involvement in all this?
- Digital Extremes will be covering the costs for the hosting of wiki.warframe.com, provide us with assistance with SEO optimization from the backend, and will continue to provide us with high quality assets to use. Shoutouts to them!
- What is Weird Gloop's involvement in all this?
- Weird Gloop is the legal entity behind several widely-beloved wiki such as Runescape wiki, OSRS wiki and Minecraft wiki. They will be assisting us with the backend wiki support and help steer us towards the best practices of our new wiki at wiki.warframe.com. Shoutouts to them as well!
- Can I ask more questions?
- Yes! Head over to our Discord and ask away.

Excessive ads? Well someone doesn't use Firefox with the correct addons, lol.
Yeah, but sometimes you just want to see something real quick on you phone and then BAM screenfull of ads.
I see.. You can download Mozilla on your phone btw. Well at least Androids, maybe not Apple.
It would be greatly appreciated if we were able to post links to the new wiki without needing to bypass filters. Is there any way that can be addressed?
Would be ideal to put links to the new official wiki in various places on this wiki. Why doesn't the main page say anything about the new wiki? The side bar? The top bar?
Because Fandom…
As in fandom won't allow them? It could at least be said on the main page that there is a new official wiki and that this isn't the official wiki anymore. It literally doesn't say that, except in the blog post that you have to dig to find.
People won't migrate immediately, you need to add a note on each page that is out of date so people can find the official website.
Also google will still push fandom so people will need to bookmark and learn to well migrate to the new one
Love the new one, just don't seem to be able to add the token to my profile to trigger migration!
W
Ive migrated my account to the new site but i still have my account here. Do i just sign out here??
Sure. Fandom and the official wiki have separate login systems.
Heard this one has been in development for a while, huge props to the team to get all this stuff transferred over
Double work for us obscure info hunters. Now we gotta search both old and new wiki comments to find a comment mentioning a power secret nobody else knew.
Comments are migrating over sometime in the coming weeks. Stay tuned.
Ok that's a really good news.
I mean kind of a waste of effort considering anyone with a brain uses adblock and therefore there aren't really any benefits in switching wikis. Seems only negatives, considering having to get used to a new UI, new account that isn't integrated with all other fandom wikis which is the biggest wiki site, losing years worth of comments that are extremely helpful, also you can't comment at all on the new wiki lmao
Comments are coming sometime soon with previous comment history being imported over. Stay tuned!
Getting adblock in steam's browser is more complicated + fuck fandom + new UI looks so much better + comments are coming + fuck fandom + biggest and most trash wiki site + skill issue + you're lazy af + fuck fandom
Sounds like you're the one with the skill issue
Tys new site looks neat
Essentially, the official wiki is where you go now for everything you usually need. Though you'll still need to drag yourself back here if the information you're looking for is so obscure only "A Fandom user" from years ago at the bottom of a comment section would know it.
Comments are coming sometime soon with previous comment history being imported over. Stay tuned!

All google search links point here (new site doesn't even come up). This change won't do much of anything so long as that is the case.
It'll take time, especially with FANDOM... pleasuring Google, shall we say. But the Minecraft wiki managed it; we will too.
thanks for the mental image lmao
Real
How will this be implemented with other languages?
I've had Adblock since 2010 so i didn't even realize there was an ad problem to begin with lol.
My main problem with Fandom and why i severely reduced any moderation duties is due to the very confusing layout change on Recent Contributions page(s) where it changed to a load of text that was visual noise on my eyes and made it harder to read at a glance. It's been long enough now that i don't even remember what the layout looked like, i just remember it being extremely easy to see at a glance who made the comment, and what was the comment.
Unfortunately, this is a problem the new "official" wiki still has, so while i will be bookmarking this new wiki and making and edits/comments over there instead i likely will not be moderating as staring at lines of text filled with numbers and various admin commands (edit/block/etc) is not for me lol.
Edit: Additionally, the lack of comments on pages is going to make that wiki extremely stale and empty as talk pages are for (or supposed to be/should be) for professional discussion about the page, which most comments don't fall under.
I wonder if they have any intention on having a comment system because that is how this wiki has function since...almost forever. Talk pages are usually more formal and people are less likely to want to discuss a page if they have to use talk pages rather than comments.
Comment pages also mean less filtered comments, sure, but I prefer that significantly more over the talk page system. It encourages more community interaction.
Has DE made any kind of statement about the lack of comments? It feels like such an integral part of the wiki to me at this point; I wonder if they could be persuaded to enable comments on the new one.
It's an issue of implementation on Weird Gloop's end. They're working on it.
EDIT: That is to say, for comments.
I don't think DE was involved with the creation, it's "Weird Gloop" involved in migrating things over.
It is such a popular feature of the wiki that i assume in the future they will add it in some capacity, perhaps some sort of integration with the forums system they have.
Edit: if it's something they are working on, then great.
Love it
Yay!
The less fandom wikis I have to use the better!
HolyMoly, Thank you! luv yall Wiki creator and DE <3
