I've noticed the same issue with the mercenary. I end up trying to aim lower to hit enemies.

Yup, I just said the same too. It's nothing about perspective or fireball size or realism. The aiming is slightly off and will more than likely just be hotfixxed.

No other arpg has this "mechanic" that people claim it to be. And it's a hindrance more than a feature even if it was intentional.

The amount of people saying it's a perspective thing is insane. If I cast a spell on my cursor, it should go to where my cursor is pointed. Imagine playing LoL and having to aim like this. It's annoying

People are just dumb. You can disprove it in a second by pressing another skill. Gas arrow goes exactly on your cursor, lightning arrow is no where near. Hope it gets hotfixed soon its very annoying on some bosses.

I get that some people are in the mindset that PoE2 can't do any wrong. But its early access guys don't make excuses to cover for clear problems. Now is the time to point this stuff out.

Even worse since this is more action oriented it appears there is some strange form of autoaim at highlighted creatures that sometimes mixes with the action oriented aiming that combines to shoot fucking walls, ceilings, random direction everything but what is highlighted OR where you are aiming.

You are aiming at their feet, the fireball is head high. It's perspective. Click and aim at a tree. You'll see.

Its a perspective artifact because you click on the ground, but the fireball flies higher. The line between your feet and your mouse pointer is parallel to the line between the fireball starting position and its destination.

I thought I was going crazy on my ranger thank God it's not just me

I've also noticed on warrior I'll leap slam at the boss but randomly it'll target their arm or something and I'll wind up on the other side of the arena
