I don't know about emotional damage but that sure was a lot like watching a graphic horror movie.

The song is so heart-wrenching. It doesn't sound like a tragic ballad, but you can hear how it's about someone who has lost her path and is quietly seeking for answers. The whispering just adds to the weakness in the singer's voice. They somehow also made the instruments sound like a folktale, owing to Ryuu's elven heritage. That's just beautiful man.
Keiji Inai is just a wondrous composer. His music in this whole series has just been amazing.
