Guild Tabs and PoE2
So I know by now everyone must know that guilds aren’t transferring between PoE1 and PoE2.
If not, DON’T buy guild tabs before PoE2 comes out.
I had purchased ~1200 points worth of affinity tabs in preparation for PoE2 like 4 days ago and then that same day the Korea interview was released where Jonathan said they’re not transferring.
I can’t be the only one who’s done something similar here and I hope nobody makes the same mistake I did. I doubt I’m going to get a refund on these transactions and even if I do, I know support is absolutely swamped right now so I don’t expect a reply until after the 6th.
This is just a PSA for those who didn’t know and haven’t been keeping up with the interviews.
I've seen multiple threads, multiple people alot more upset about this than me.
I also remember guild tabs were going to transfer, and while I haven't bought any recently over the last so many years our guild has fought hard to recover its leadership from a deceased leader and add onto it with whatever expansions we could get which included a bunch of us getting guild stash tabs over the years. We were really proud of our guild, it had sentimental value as well as real world dollar value, and when I was told it would transfer over we were all really hyped.
To have to remake was a really shitty feeling, including having 0 tabs to start with after years of growth. We don't have as much money as some but we finally got our guild where we liked it.
I have faith Good Guy GGG will see these reactions and will respond accordingly when not overwhelmed as they are now dealing with the release.
Just keep voicing your opinions, they are good people, they will adjust accordingly.
I agree it was pretty crappy to go from "they will transfer" to "well just buy more I guess lol" as thats just a drastically different response than I'd expect and doesnt really align with their normal takes, but they've earned more than enough good will from me for me to overlook it. We just really hope we don't have to.

Ya literally just bought all the affinity tabs I figured would be working not even 30 minutes before the interview
This is news to me I bought all of the tabs etc etc assuming they would transfer, I’ll just not rebuy them tbh
I recommend submitting a support ticket explaining your reasoning for the purchase so you can at least get your points back
It'd make sense if they can't have them transfer RIGHT NOW, but I don't understand not being able to have them transfer later on, or at least give the guild leaders "Guild Points" to buy new guild tabs in PoE2 in the future.
If that's the plan then it's kind of shady for them to not clarify during the ziz interview instead of being like "yea you'll have to rebuy those"

Oh man they even said it themselves to the community? I can’t say I’ve ever felt cheated by GGG before but there’s a first time for everything I suppose. Damn.
I bought a Quad tab in Poe however my gold was taken and my guild has no box at all....very very lame
