2x Ubiquiti Patch panel 1x USW 1x UDM Pro Shelf with HP Prodesk running Rhel9 & PI 5 running Almalinux

Drawer with ISP Modem and Unifi USW Ultra for POE going to the rest of the Appartment.

Truenas box with 64GB RAM and a Ryzen 5800X

2x Amazon PDU Units

Dell R640 with 2x 12 core xeon and 400gb ram for VMWare. (Laying sideways in the rack behind the PDUs due to depth constraints)

How’s the ubiquiti ecosystem so far? Are the features worth the cost of Unifi gear for home users? I am on the fence deciding if I want to take the plunge for a UDM and a UniFi switch

Depends what you need. Personally I prefer PFsense as firewall and enterprise switches with real L3 capabilities. But that’s not everyone needs. The unifi ecosystem is very nice to use and makes easy to configure their equipments in one place. If you want brand new equipment the price point is fair honestly and can fits small to medium businesses easily.

Ah guess you got me there, was thinking of getting one but I am unfortunatly limited to a 15U rack in that closet!
