Which Linux distro would be best to use for homelab in order to be closest to professional environment?

Solved

I am a noob to homelabbing... obviously 😂. I want to start my homelab soon as I'll have a new PC built in the next couple days and my other one will be a Linux server of some kind. I wanted to ask what is the best version of Linux to use for both the server, networking, programming, data analytics, and virtualization. I have a feeling Ubuntu is the recommended one but I would like to use the distro that will be used most in professional environments with enterprise level hardware. I would like to be as prepared as possible with the projects I do! Currently using the Linux Bible for reference and would welcome any suggestions y'all can give me and resources!

Also would proxmox be best run on windows 11?

Thanks for any help you can give!
