Hi.

Kinda as the title says ... i am using openwrt at my parents house on their router, because the original software was just ... trash. And it runs pretty nice and fast.

So now i saw openwrt is also available for managed switches. I own several netgear GS108T switches, which i use to connect several pcs to my router and nas. The only config i did (and that's basicly why i bought managed switches) is setting inbound / outbound traffic limits.

Is it "worth" replacing the original firmware with openwrt? Will this give me kinda any improvements in stability, or performance? Or is it just waste of time for my environment and i should keep them original a la "never change a running system"?
