pro tip - after owning every model since the c1 i finally discovered this today - if this is your PC monitor download LGTV Companion. It will turn the tv on when you turn on your computer, and turn it off when you shutdown. game changer!
I haven't tried that with my Windows PC but still want to. For now, I have automation set up to put it to sleep if I'm not sitting in front of my desk which works for all 4 inputs I have hooked up to this thing! Love it.
I’ve owned everything from 29s to 49” ultra wides. Then I tried 32s, including the ROG Swift 32” OLED Dual mode.
But then I went for the BB $899 deal on the 42” LG C4 4K OLED and I wish I never messed with anything else.
IMHO, truly the best monitor (ahem, TV) for gaming, productivity on Mac and PC.
If you keep skipping it because it’s a TV, you should most definitely try it as your monitor. It’s the perfect size (32 is good but 42 is perfect), not too wide, not too tall, and OMG #chefskiss
PS: For gamers info, some specs: 144Hz Refresh Rate, NVIDIA G-Sync, AMD FreeSync Premium and 0.1ms response time
Getting a lot of questions about my setup, so here's a consolidated list:
- VIVO STAND-V101G1 monitor arm
- VIVO Steel VESA LCD LED TV Mount Adapter Plate Bracket for Screens 32" to 55" (MOUNT-AD4X2)
- Govee floor lamp modified to be a desk lamp
- Elgato Wave Mic Arm
- Sennheiser MKH416
- Insta360 Link webcam
- RODE AI-1 audio interface (for when I'm not using my RODECaster DUO)
- Kanto YU2 speakers (with sub below)
- Logitech MX Creative Console
- Apple Magic Trackpad
- Satechi Slim X1 keyboard
- Logitech MX Master 3S mouse
- Six key macro keyboard
- ROG Ally Z1 Extreme
- Cheap ass felt desk pad
- 65" LG OLED C2 in background on wall
- VertDesk standing desk
- Miles Morales squishy
Hooked up to the LG's 4 HDMI ports, I have:
- M4 Pro Mac mini
- Windows PC
- Gaming PC
- ROG Ally

Since you tried the dual mode 32“ how were they compared to the 42“ ?
I‘ve been using the C2 42“ since its launch 2,5 years ago and love it but was curious about the dual mode for fast pace games.
Used a LG CX 48" as my monitor for four years. Now I just use my 85" TV as my monitor and do all my PC'ing from the couch. It's a natural progression. You'll see.
85?! That’s sounds too small for peak productivity, ever consider dual monitors?
Amazing isnt?! I wouldnt replace my 42 OLED for any other kind of type of monitor out there! Even browsing reddit or youtube in dark theme is amazing!
Is the whole green tinting thing fixed yet?
It's not a monitor though, just... to be clear.
You're using it for your pc yes, but it's still a tv. That being said, it is in fact amazing.
