That's the one I went with. Getting here tomorrow or the next day. Corsair warranty process is really excellent in the case of failure. Supposedly 2242 has better heat distribution than the 2230.
Incidentally that is an amazing price for it, holy moly. If only they would ship to me.
I used a 2242 to 2280 adapter. It was a snug fit but it did fit.
hows the temps with that with no heat sink or anything ? thinking about going this route my self and doing a 4 tb
I have the 2TB Western Digital WD SN740 with an adapter M-Key B and M (2230 to 2242) like this one on the image below, really good speeds, I've been using it for 6 months, no issues so far.
I used p3 plus, what you have to be careful with:
Heat - you can get a 10000mb/s ssd but it will probably consume a lot of Watts and reach temps that will bottleneck its speed
Thickness - if its too thick it will need you to either mod your backplate or buy a new one
To be safe just use a model that other people had used previously and gave good feedback here
I have a Corsair MP600 micro 2TB 2242, it works fine. I used to have a 2280 ssd with the sintech and angle adapter, and I kept having BSODs.
hey picky_man did you made a clean install or cloned, I cloned and getting BSODs.
I have the mp600 1tb & it runs perfectly. I've had it since day one. I originally built the original SSD, updated everything, cloned it & immediately swapped over. It's worked flawlessly ever since.
I'm contemplating doing a again to the 2tb model but I have a Crucial 2tb X9 & it works brilliantly if slower but much faster than microSD so I'm trying to justify the buy to myself because I really don't need 5tb on my LGO but I would like the extra speed.... Decisions, decisions

Same here, used a couple thermal pads for mine and trim a peg and few bits on the back cover 4TB P3 3300GBs is fast enough for my steam needs
Is that MP44L without the original sticker?
