Using Macrium Reflect is an option if you want to transfer what you have currently installed.
If you want a fresh start with all of the Legion Go software, I used the Lenovo Recovery Media. You just create an account, add your Legion Go and request a recovery media (digital download). It’ll create a USB for you and it worked perfectly.
what size is the OEM onboard SSD - 2230 or 2242? I have a 2Tb disk on order which is 2230, does this have the required mounting points?
Couldnt you just install windows normally then download legion space and relevant drivers?
No. I tried that and it kept saying “there are drivers and files missing” when I tried a normal win11 installer. Had to use the official recovery tool from Lenovo for the legion and now the OS is finally installing.
I have done the upgrade with the new SSD all nice and smooth I opened the legion go case, unplugged the battery cable removed the ssd and removed the Mylar sheet installed the new ssd within the protection sheet plugged the battery cable closed the case when I pushed the power button it started blinking white system working fine only to find out the battery not charging anymore the light still blinking white, I’m so confused I have no idea what I have done, if anyone can tell me anything would be appreciated.
Just clone the drive with Macrium Reflect.
Not sure why you got downvoted, but this is the way…. But why are we unwrapping the ssd?

Does macrium not run on mac? I have a MacBook Pro and it is refusing to open when I finish downloading the file from their website.
why are you trying to run it on your Mac? Run it on your LeGo, clone the old drive to the new one before installing.
