Is it worth getting an rx 7900 xtx if you can't enable SAM?

Help (GPU)

I am looking to buy an rx 7900xtx for the 24gb of vram, but I have an i7 13700k therefore I can't enable SAM, however according to some videos SAM improves the framerate by a lot so is it worth getting it or should I buy the rtx 4080?

Switch to Xfinity Mobile and get the Samsung Galaxy S25+ ON US.

You can enable Resizable Bar, which is the same thing. I have the same setup. But you will need to verify your motherboard supports it and how to enable it.

I find that smart access memory as it stands, isn't that important. The only video card that really sees a big benefit is the Intel ARC cards.

Who’s Sam?

SAM is my uncle.

SAM or REBAR similar thing different name.. it's on all mobo (I think, maybe not some lower end?) Anyway, it's only a few %... only Intel Arc work a lot worse without rebar, like -30%

Can you check with GPU-Z in the advance tab > Rebar what it says that you need to enable?

From what I’ve seen it doesn’t make much of a difference and sometimes it performs worse

I doubt it improves the framerate by a lot tbh.

You can enable it it just not called sam
