Acquisition[]
Karak Wraith was introduced during the Operation: Tubemen of Regor event, where players would need to complete a minimum of four regional battles in favor of one side more than the other, and Alad V was the victor of the conflict. Alad V had won the conflict in the PC and XB1 versions of the game, but not in the PS4. The weapon was fully built and came with a free weapon slot and a pre-installed Orokin Catalyst.
The blueprint and parts were formerly a reward from the First and Third Seasons of Sorties; they can now be found as an Invasion reward. All components can be traded, although players must have a Mastery Rank of at least 7 to acquire the blueprint.

Trivia[]
- Curiously, the Karak Wraith's UI icon appears to be missing its magazine and the remainder of the hanging strap.
- The Karak Wraith is the sixth Wraith weapon to be released.
- When the Karak Wraith has a quarter of its total magazine left, it will sound slightly higher approaching the end of the magazine.
- This weapon is wielded by the Nightwatch Lancers during the Project Undermine Tactical Alert, perhaps due to the similarity in appearance between Wraith and Nightwatch skins, and the fact that there is no Nightwatch skin for the Karak,
Hind, or
Grakata.
- This the second time an enemy is seen using an Event Reward weapon (following the Stalker's use of the
Braton Vandal prior to the introduction of the
Dread).

This weapon need a buff, just like the Braton Prime does
Poor Karak Wraith. The Kuva variant completely blows it out of the water AND is easier to get AND it has no MR requirement.
I wouldn't call the kuva one easier to get
This weapon seems to be weirdly missing from the equiment tab in the Profile menu.
Most Karak, Dera and those kinds of weapon don't appear in those lists
They should show if you've mastered them
The base damage of the Kuva Karak in the comparison is not correct. While the impact, puncture and slash numbers are correct the kuva karak has up to a 60% extra elemental or impact damage bonus wich is 13.8. This brings the total base damage of the Kuva Karak to 36.8 (on a lvl 40 weapon)
Nice,I assume the damage is wrong
Does that change the base damage of the kuva weapons? I've heard such rumors but I found no evidence.
If not, then the base damage comparison is correct.
Where abouts has this weapon gone? It doesn’t appear when you search for it and it doesn’t link when you type it in chat.
Since when is this weapon silent?
Since never. Where are you getting that from?
Had Banshee equiped - her passive makes it silent, didnt know that. Sry
Just got a riven, but not sure if I want to invest on this weapon.
It's a really solid weapon that has taken down numerous sorties for me at least if I had one I would do it.
Got -115% impact riven on 3rd roll, even tho possitive stats ain't perfect (+179.3% dmg, +109.4% status chance, +59.% mag cap) it would be a cool weapon to max out. I really wish i'd get crit chance or multishot instead mag cap since 60 ammo is more than enough.
because have you heard of braton prime (i still like the karak wraith better but...)
i think is de wanted to make this slightly better up the crit chance to 18 or even 20%
where is the karak prime???? also kunai prime too???
Wraith roiughly speaking is the primed version of a grineer weapon, Vandal for corpus in a similar sense.
Prisma weapons are the Psuedo primed variants for weapons that can't be primed (Grineer, corpus). So hopefully Baro will bring us a prisma version of this weapon one day.
^ not quite,
Reminder that prisma shade and veritux are tenno gear, also prisma skana
To Lone Tenno on February 14: We do have Helios Prime, and Helios is of Corpus origin, so it's highly (but not completely) improbable that we'll have Karak Prime.
Good?
yes!
Too bad its Impact focused and will be shit vs Grineer though.
Works well against Corpus, but thats about it. Meh.
would be squash rounds. gotta remember. grineer fight alot of corpus so having squash rounds means the bullet flattens out causing more stress on kenetic shields...thus the impact.
"squash rounds" .. wut?
I think you confused it with anti tank shells called "high explosive squash heads"
Those are usually shot from tank mounted cannons.
OP
45% impact isn't that much to be fair. It can also work great agianst other factions, given the high status chance. Can also shred Grineer to a certain point.
The impact damage could be explained as hollow point tip rounds, which have terrible penetration against most armor due to their design to mushroom out on impact, in the real world, the effect can leave rather large internal and on occasional, external wounds. But likely for balance sake, impact is reserved for shields.
Just my two cents.

Awesome!!!
Always reminded me of my first few days into Warframe. Back then while on MR-5, I've fallen in love with the first Karak in terms of looks, sound, and performance - that is, prior entering Saturn. Since then, knowing that Karak was my favourite weapon, most everyone in the clan introduced me to this piece of art...
Now that I'm an MR-15+ [since I don't rank-up anymore, even though I kept MR-foddering], it worked surprisingly well in the first 2 Sorties, albeit using more ammunitions [since I currently didn't use any Rivens, just my bad luck], but that posed no problem, since I paired it with Carrier Prime...
In terms of looks and performance, I guess it's only me to think that Tiburon Prime acts like an actual 'M16', while this and its standard counterpart act like an 'M4 Carbine' [Full-Auto, like most FPS games]. I also think of Argonak to be an exact copy of G36 [LOL]...
is it just me or does this look and feel like an AK47?
Shortly, AK-47 in Warframe.
More like M16 :> But yeah, it's the most "Assault Rifle"-Rifle ingame imo :P
Got a Karak Visicron Riven: +171,2% Crit Chance, +214,9% Damage. Is that worth it?
It's insane. I love the Karak Wraith. It'd become my most used weapon with that riven.
i have [karak satitin] +66% magazine capacity and +120% multishot its not amazing but i love it
Finally, my favourite gun has taken the top spot as my most used primary <3.
With my new 190.7% damage, 102.4% MS, 143.1% Slash, -109.3% Puncture riven it demolishes everything I've put it up against with a Viral/Slash build. Super underrated weapon, fun, reliable, and really good if you get a riven for it.
...
This convo is funny as hell at current date (14 feb,2019)
…
I bet that rivens' crazy now you have the Kuva Karak.
this vs braton prime?
They're very similar, magazine on braton is slightly larget but with a slightly longer reload, I guess just pick the one that you like more aesthetically.
I love my Karak. I wanted it when it first came out but I chose the wrong side. I got it back though and I modded the crap out of it!
