How do mods work in multiplayer?
Im playing Baldurs Gate 3 with my brother-in-law. I want black dye for my character (going for a Guts build) but the black dye in the game are all very lackluster. It seems like they dont have solid black dye in the game.
If I mod my game to include black dye, would my brother:
-
Have to download the same mods in order to keep playing with me?
-
if not, can he see the color change on my armor in game without the having installed the mod?
-
Can I give him the same dye without downloading the mod?
The reason why I ask is because he has another playthrough with our cousins that I am not a part of.
So if I wanted to keep playing with him and add a black dye mod, would he have to get the cousins to get the same mods as well so he can continue his playthrough with them?
Thanks in advance!
The only option is for him to have the exact same modlist as you, if you are the host, the game will prompt him into downloading the mods, if he is the host, you will need to download the mods you want and tell him to download and activate the same ones. Just an information, mods disable achievements so if you’re into that, just know you’ll lose access to it.
It’s fine to have different modlists for different playthroughs, the game knows what mods you’ll need to activate or deactivate when you try and load a different save.
