In your Orbiter select Backroom - clicking on it gives you the option to Switch operations to Backroom.That's all - super easy but quite unintuitive and can't be done from the Backroom itself. You need to be in your Orbiter when you do it. To switch back - just click your Orbiter in Navigation (it's hanging over Earth)
