My Kuva lich abilities have these white boxes instead of the actual pictures. This also happens in game with certain buffs and debuffs such as octavia's. does anybody know a fix?

Ooh mystery flavor!
Could be the image files are corrupted and they default to a blank slot. I think your only options to fix it might be to reinstall or see of there is an error checker/fixer on the launcher.
Looks very normal to me for a level 1 Pokémon to have only 1 skill.
I has it too but with checkered boxes. The assets don't load bc low performance ig
Try verifying the files in the launcher
If you hover them do they show the text
Reinstall, either the file the icon is trying to point to is corrupted or moved for some reason so is returning a null in the form of a white box.
