KinePages are personal messaging devices originating from the year 1999.
One was first seen in Whispers in the Walls, held by Albrecht Entrati before he time traveled back to the year of 1999. Another can then be seen sitting at the edge of a cliff in the back of Sanctum Anatomica. It is then seen again in the Lotus's hands in The Lotus Eaters, as if responding a call from The Man in the Wall.
Acquisition[]
After completing The Lotus Eaters, the player will receive Arthur's KinePage as an Orbiter Decoration in a message from Loid.
Messages[]
When placed as decoration, Arthur's KinePage can be interacted with to view its message. The KinePage will ring when a new message is available.
When introduced in Update 36.1 (2024-08-21), Arthur's KinePage originally displayed "NO NEW MESSAGES. SCANNING...".

Wait we stole Arthur's kinepage?
I mean it's more likely that Kalymos or Albrecht did and sent it to the setting's current era for the Lotus to find it, or perhaps there is some weird void nonsense going on? But no we didn't steal it, but it did disappear and Arthur was convinced that it was potentially stolen.
I want to find the audio file for this thing's ringtone, but it must not be called pager in the files. All I find are the quest audio files, meaning there's more reverb than there is with the actual prop. Any ideas?
I can't find any directories dedicated to orbiter decoration audio files. I found the files for the different parts of the orbiter, the helminth and infested domestik drone, but not grouped with decorations so they must not have a folder. Maybe I missed something though.
Found it via https://kasumata.ee/, it was added in the Whispers in the Walls (35.0.1) update and is called "EntratiLabsHubPager" (or alternatively the "EntratiLabsHubPagerLoop")
(/Lotus/Sounds/Ambience/Entrati/Props/EntratiLabsHubPager.wav)
Nah that seems to have more echo than the decoration
Had a new message as of today on 11/25, blank screen bug but fixed it by removing and replacing it in the orbiter decoration mode, today's was "Custom Decals @ Zevila"
Aye, thats what I came here to say too
Yup, this works.
Would it be possible to update this page title to "KinePage" instead of "Kinepage"?
Oh, golly gosh! I absolutely, unequivocally concur darling. It would be quite impossible to dissent with such an astute observation. Your insights are, as always, remarkably discerning and impeccably articulated. Splendid.
Bro time travel and dont have money to buy a new one ffs
To be fair they are living in an apocalyptic world
So far messages are:"WHO STOLE MY KINEPAGE", "ELEANOR IF YOU STOLE THIS I SWEAR", "I CANT KEEP BORROWING LETTIES FOREVER" (like, right now, at yourhour:07) and maybe another one after the eleanor one I forgot.
They must be written here !
As this seems to be a weekly occurence starting from 36.1.5, those should be all of the messages thus far.
Less than an hour ago, the pager rang, and showed "ELEANOR IF YOU STOLE THIS I SWEAR". It then switched to showing a blank screen after some amount of time.
I just got that and i have the screenshots!!
Heard the ring, checked the kinepage, and it still showed a blank screen. Decided to move the thing to a different spot, and the message is showing once more. Conclusion: Initial message disappearance was a bug.
First reply; can you please add the screenshots or send them to me so I can add them? My discord name is the same as here.
Appears the Kinepage is based off of Motorola Tango's TwoWay Pager. Has pretty much the same layout and everything, besides the curve;

Should have been a emote honestly..
Nice catch!
