Editing Weapon Movesets
Haven't played in quite sometime, and wanted to hopefully download some mods that alter weapon movesets (I want a faster Zweihander). Well apparently most mods on nexus for this purpose are deprecated or don't work (or aren't what I'm looking for). I learned about two programs to edit parameters, Yapped and DSMapStudio, but when I edit the parameters for certain weapons and save them as a new regulation file, nothing happens in game.
I can't find any guides on how to do this simply from scratch that are updated. Most are from when the game first came out and apparently are no longer valid or omit necessary steps that I'm missing.
If anyone could please link me to an updated guide on how to do this step by step, that would be very appreciated. I have been unable to find anything recent.
Yapped is old and out of date now. So DSMapStudio is what you'll use for editing parameters. You download it off github and install it wherever you want to. I have a Elden Ring Mod Tools folder for example.
That tool won't let you affect weapon speeds though. Closest you could do would be to put the Godslayer greatsword (faster animations) onto a zweihander. That would be changing one value.
If you're wanting to change how fast an animation plays you're going to need DSAnimStudio. I haven't used it yet so I can't tell you how to do that specifically.
how do i change the zweihander light attack moveset to be the godslayer greatsword light attack moveset?
